Production Capacity Planning uses the output of Master ProductionSchedule processing to compute a work load versus comparison of capacityfor user-defined key resources. Users can prepare product load profilesthat describe the units of workload per planned units and the work centercapacity definitions for the key resources.Production Capacity Planning gives a perspective into the ability toproduce. Through its infinite capacity planning capability, users gainreliable forecasts of resource bottlenecks or underutilization.With Production Capacity Planning, users can do "what if" analysis andpredict the capacity requirements of alternative production schedules;display planned loads for each work center in chronological order; userequired interface to Master Production Schedule, Inventory, and Bill ofMaterials; and update bills of resources and planning work centersonline.
